: Imbolc (February 2nd) is the festival of Brigid, Goddess of inspiration, fire and learning. It is the “coming out” of the Goddess after giving birth at Yule. The God is a healthy young boy. The Goddess is a virgin once more. (According to Tantric tradition, a woman is considered to be a virgin again each month after being renewed through the process of menstruation). This is a time of purification and renewal. After being closed in during the dark days of winter we begin to emerge with the increasing light. This card speaks of coming out after a period of convalescence or seclusion. You may be recovering from an illness, or beginning to feel sociable again after a time of introversion. If you have been going through a quiet time in your life, events and circumstances will stimulate a new sense of excitement and vigor. You are finally prepared to present your work or your talents before the public....
